The 40-year-old kitchens and restaurants of three UNISA Muckleneuk Campus canteens were renovated.

“Solo” Acoustic absorptive panels from Saint-Gobain Ecophon, were suspended for a lighter look and a more quiet space, against black concrete ceilings, whilst an improved colour scheme and more adequate lighting gave a fresh feel to the three spaces.

At the server areas of two of the restaurants, the new concept was to incorporate cooking in the     front-of-house, and not just serving of food prepared out of sight, brought out from behind closed doors in the kitchens.
