Aerolite® Soft Touch ceiling insulation provides a high resistance to the flow of temperature and sound through the building envelope of your home. This limits the impact of the outside temperature and noise variations entering your home, helping to maintain a comfortable living environment.

Your Energy Zone
South Africa has been divided into seven energy zones according to their humidity and temperature variations. Each energy zone has a different R-value that determines the thickness of Aerolite® Soft Touch to be used. The seven energy zones are as follows:
1. Medium, Medium
2. Medium, Low
3. Low, High
4. Low, Low
5. Low, Medium
5H. >80% Humidity
6. High, Low
7. High, Medium
Your R-value
All insulation materials have an R-value to determine their effectiveness. It’s the ability of the product to resist the transfer of heat and is the most important factor when selecting insulation. The higher the R-value the more effective the insulation and Aerolite® has a variety of thicknesses according to the R-value required.

- Aerolite® Soft Touch 50 mm can be installed as top-up in homes that already have insulation but do not meet the stipulated minimum requirements for new buildings in SANS 10400-XA.
