Netcare Sunninghill Hospital is a world-class healthcare facility designed to support advanced medical services within a highly controlled, compliant, and performance-driven built environment. Delivered over an 11 month construction period, the 800 m² project demanded interior building systems capable of meeting stringent healthcare requirements for acoustic performance, thermal efficiency, fire safety, hygiene, and long-term durability, while also enabling fast-track construction and minimising on site disruption.

To meet these objectives, Saint-Gobain solutions were specified and installed across ceilings, partitions, drywall, and insulation systems, ensuring reliable, long-term performance aligned with healthcare regulations and operational demands. The hospital incorporates high-performance interior solutions, including Isover Energylite® insulation, Gyprex® 12.5 mm ceiling tiles, and bespoke Gyproc drywall systems. Together, these systems deliver superior acoustic control, thermal stability, moisture resistance, and hygienic finishes, critical for specialised clinical environments such as cardiac units, paediatric wards, trauma facilities, and decant wards.

Lightweight, dry build construction methods were prioritised throughout the project to accelerate installation timelines, reduce programme risk, and minimise water usage on site. These solutions also supported compliance with fire safety and healthcare standards, ensuring safe, efficient, and purpose-built spaces that enable the hospital to deliver high-quality patient care.
