Geyser Insulation

By insulating your geyser you could save up to 37% of your energy consumption of your geyser system.

A geyser consumes 35% of a typical household’s electricity

A recent study has shown that it takes a 3kW (150l) geyser 2 hours to heat water to 60ºC
By insulating your geyser as well as your hot water pipes you can save up to 37% of the energy used by your geyser system, offering a payback within 6 months.

You don’t have to worry about turning your geyser on and off

With a Isover geyser blanket the heat will be retained above 60 ºC for 6 hours, reducing the number of heating cycles, and save 21% of the 3kw of electricity required to reheat which is an easy and highly effective way of saving electricity.

Thermal Images

A thermal image is taken using a thermo graphic camera which detects infrared radiation and then produces the image. The amount of infrared radiation emitted by an object is based on its temperature and this enables one to see variations in temperature on most objects.

The level of insulation of most geyser jackets is not optimum, as in order to achieve the optimum insulation, they would have a larger diameter making access via a standard; trap door impossible.
