QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
ISO 9001:2008 in progress.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
  • Life long energy savings
  • Lightweight & easy to handle
  • CFC free
  • Emits low levels of smoke under pyrolisis (no HCI or NO2 & HCN gases are released)
  • Closed cell structures limits water absorption
  • Long product life
FIRE PROPERTIES
Class 1 fire index rating - tested to SANS 10177 Part 3
THERMAL PROPERTIES
Thermal conductivity at 10˚C = 0.018 W/mK for 35 kg/m3 density
ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE
Not suitable in acoustical applications. Isover offers a range of alternative acoustical insulation products if required.
DURABILITY
  • Odourless, inert and fully compatible with all standard building materials & components
  • Will not sustain vermin
  • Will not breed or promote fungi, mould or bacteria
  • Non-hygroscopic
  • Rot proof
APPLICATION
Can be used in almost any industry where fire safe insulation is fundamental:
  • Mining
  • Air conditioning
  • Construction e.g. hospitals, hotels and airports
  • Refrigeration

TOOLS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION
  • Industry specific
  • Adhesive tape, profiling tools for minor modifications
  • Profiles are generally cut to order, requiring simple fixing in place Profiles fully enclosed in vapour barrier are vacuum sealed and must not be cut.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
In accordance with Engineers instructions, best practice and industry standards.
BENEFITS
The excellent k-value allows the use of thinner insulation sections, saving space and reducing the cost of outer cladding and vapour barrier.
HANDLING & STORAGE
Megaphen should always be stored under cover from the elements, transported in bundles, or carried individually on edge. As per all items in storage, fire safety regulations should always be considered. All health & safety regulations should be adhered to and complied with.
