KOOLTHANE
Koolthane is a closed cell rigid polyurethane insulating foam. Offers excellent
thermal properties and high compressive strength. Koolthane PIR (polyisocyanurate)
is a fire retardant grade.

FIRE PROPERTIES

Koolthane PIR has low flame spread and smoke emission which significantly reduces
the risk of fire.

THERMAL PROPERTIES
|
|
Thermal conductivity at 10˚C = 0.023 W/mK Thermal Resistance value (Rval) = 1.09
m2K/W for 25 mm sheet (40 kg/m3).
|
ACOUSTIC PROPERTIES
|
|
P.U. is not renowned as a good sound absorbing product due to its closed cell structure
and low density. Isover offers a range of alternative acoustical insulation products
if required.

Koolthane can be used in a variety of applications:
- Refrigerated truck bodies
- Containers and cold rooms
- Vessel & tank insulation
- Marine applications
- Air conditioning
- Pipe insulation with protective foil facing

- Odourless, inert and fully compatible with all standard building materials & components
