FACTORYBOARD

Factoryboard is a rigid board manufactured from non-combustible Glasswool insulation. Available in 25, 40 or 50 mm thick. It can be supplied with an ASTM E-84 tested reinforced foil or white metalized foil. Alternative facings are also available (black metalized foil, white embossed vinyl or black non-woven glass tissue).

TOOLS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION
Boards are manufactured to length – a sharp knife will be required should cutting be necessary.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Take care when installing in windy conditions.
  • When installing over purlins, a C clip/metal saddle must be inserted through the board so that the roof sheet clip is fixed to the structure and not to the board.
  • Use H sections or T sections to span between the purlins to support the board along the longitudinal joint. Minimum recommended face width of T or H section - 35 mm.
  • For retro-fit roof insulation installations, it is recommended that Factoryboard be installed as a ceiling in a standard suspended grid system.
HANDLING & STORAGE
Store product undercover, and in dry conditions. Store flat. Handle with care, especially on the edges and corners, which can be damaged if subject to sharp or heavy impact. Do not apply excessive pressure, for example by standing or sitting on the product, as permanent damage may be caused.
ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATION
Install (25/40/50)mm thick, rigid “Factoryboard” as an aesthetic, acoustic and thermal (wall cladding/suspended ceiling/over purlin roof insulation). Density 80 kg/m3 faced with (reinforced foil/white metalized foil/black metalized foil/white embossed vinyl/black non-woven glass tissue). Install as per manufacturer’s specifications.
